Sarkoth and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction

Started playing Diablo II: Lord of Destruction again recently.  I play an hour or two every other day (mixing it up with Warcraft III, Microvolts, Spore, and other games which take little active mental effort (unlike World of Warcraft or Guild Wars).  Two characters so far.  Hardcore Ladder expansion Paladin by the name of Jeffren which is currently level 15 and regular ladder expansion necromancer named Sarkoth which is currently level 10.

Thought I would upload a screen shot of Sarkoth since I just found way point for Dark Wood (Act I) and decided to break for the night.

Guild Wars Character Screen Shot

Guild Wars Character: Jeffrey Garrison
9th Level Warrior/Paragon
So I spent a couple of hours playing Guild Wars.  Went from level 8 to level 9.  Suffered character death numerous times due to forgetting much about how to play the game.  This was my first ever character for this game, thus I named the character after myself so as to be easily recognizable by any friends I might have in game.  This character was begun in the are of the Nightfall expansion I believe.

Warcraft II on AOL's Engage Server

In 1998 my first online game was Warcraft II hosted on AOL's Engage Server. In the AOL community associated with the Engage Server there were message forums dedicated to Warcraft II. The moderators there supported and encouraged the formation of online Warcraft II "clans." This was also my first encounter with online gaming clans. Existing clans on these Engage forums were unofficially classified by players into three types: The Horde, The Humans and Neutral factions. Major clan names I can recall off the top of my head were: Nation of Calderan, Splintered Orc Clan (SOC), Death Raiders Clan, United Dark Forces (UDF), Dark Covenants (DC), Keepers of Edanvant (KoE), Descendants of Kilrogg (DoK), Banners of the Mark (BoM), and my own clan, Death Falcon Company (DFC).

New Arrival at Blogger

This is my first blog post for my new Blogger account.

I have had a LiveJournal account under the user name of Fean77 (fean77.livejournal.com) since 2009, however, I just tried to log in to that account and create another post unsuccessfully. This was due to unreadable foreign language characters replacing most of the English ones all over the LiveJournal pages after signing in.  As I am not able to read any asian languages, let alone be able to tell the difference between Chinese and Korean, I was not patient enough to troubleshoot the problem.  I am using Internet Explorer 8 on a Windows XP OS and I did check the encoding for the page, but this yielded no help. Additional hindrance stems from the mental fuzziness of being up past bed time on Sunday night (Monday morning actually).

Thus, I have decided to try a Blogger account and see how this works out.

In the past, I'd read that even as I joined LiveJournal in 2009 it was considered by many to be past its prime.  I just read an old news post I Googled up indicating that a Russian company bought out LiveJournal in 2007 if I understood it correctly.

I have only ever had one actual person added to my LiveJournal friend list and that was the user Indigowulf (aka. Melissa Tatom). Additionally, she was not active on that site at all and we maintain contact and information sharing through other venues anhow.

Time will tell if I utilize this site's potential as a collection point for information sharing.  Also, I may or may not continue to blog at LiveJournal depending on whether I continue to have problems viewing pages correctly.
